Beneficiaries

The supervisory board consists of academic supervisors from UNOTT and industrial supervisors from MATELYS:
 Academic Supervisors - University of Nottingham 
1.Dr. Dimitrios Chronopoulos

He has been a Marie-Curie fellow himself. While in UNOTT he has been involved in the coordination of three European training programmes (INNOVATE, SAFE-FLY and INNOVATIVE) and is currently supervising 7 PhD students and one postdoctoral fellow of 7 nationalities.

2.Dr. Savvas Triantafyllou

He is currently supervising 8 PhD students and a post-doctoral fellow of 5 nationalities. He is also participating in two H2020 projects.
3.Dr. Ender Özcan

He has been awarded two research grants as principal investigator and has been involved in several EPSRC projects. He has supervised 11 PhDs and 4 postdocs to completion of 4 nationalities in total.
4.Prof. Ian Ashcroft

He is currently involved in three European research programmes (i.e. INNOVATE, SAFE-FLY and INNOVATIVE) and has supervised 28 PhD students to completion. He is currently supervising 7 PhD students and 5 postdoctoral fellows of 8 nationalities in total.
5.Prof. Gregor Tanner

He has coordinated 3 European research programmes (2 FP7 projects as well as one H2020 FET Open network) and has supervised 9 PhD students to completion. He is currently supervising 5 PhD students and 4 postdoctoral fellows of 8 nationalities in total.
6.Prof. Arthur Jones

He has been an Investigator in 2 EU and 19 EPSRC research grants and has supervised 18 PhD students to completion. He is currently supervising 6 PhD students and 2 postdoctoral fellows of 5 nationalities.
 Industrial Supervisors - Matelys Research Lab 
1. Dr. Luc Jaouen

He has graduated with a PhD from Sherbrooke University (Canada). During his 15 years of experience in Acoustics he has supervised and co supervised 5 master-degree students and 3 PhDs in the field of characterization and modeling of acoustical porous materials.
2. Dr. François-Xavier Bécot

He holds a joint PhD from Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden) and INSA-Lyon (France), on the impact of acoustical draining surfaces on the tyre/road noise. During his 18 years of experience in Acoustics he has supervised or co- supervised 8 master-degree students and 3 PhDs in the field of acoustics of porous materials.
3. Ing. Fabien Chevillotte

He holds a Msc from Sherbrooke University dedicated to the modeling of porous materials using Micro-Macro approaches. He has supervised or co supervised 7 master- degree students and 2 PhDs during his 9-year experience in Vibration and Acoustics.
